Fix Windows 7 Update Error Code 80072F8F - Windows could not search for new updates

Just follow the below steps to fix this issue:-

Step-1

Fix Windows 7 Update Error - Windows could not search for new updates
Left click on date and timing then you follow step 2.

Step-2

Fix Windows 7 Update Error - Windows could not search for new updates
Then just click on "Change date and time settings..." and follow step-3

Step-3

Fix Windows 7 Update Error - Windows could not search for new updates
Now you have to click on "Change date and time..." and follow step-4

Step-4

Now just correct the Year, Month and Date of your PC and enter ok twice.

Step-5

Now just see your Date captured in Taskbar and sure that the date is current.

Now Just Go to Start-->All Programs--->Windows Update... and See your update.

    I tried the windows update fix but it did not help my problem - 80072EFE

    I think I have done that without any success. Not sure if it is the same fixit link. I have tried so many differenent things. Will try this one. Thanks

    I tried the link but it was the same one I had treied a few times. It says it is had fixed certain things but did not remove the problem.

    @TimC.
    Ok, Try this Method:
    1. Go to "Control Panel" and select "All Control Panel Items".
    2. Click on "Troubleshooting".
    3. On Troubleshooting Screen, Click on "Fix problems with Windows update" which is under the "System and Security" Link.
    4. Troubleshoot window will be appear and click on "Advance" link and ensure that "Apply repairs automatically" was checked.
    5. Click "Next" button to start finding the problems.

    Wish it will help you to sort out the problem immediately.
