Windows could not search for new updates
Many users are facing Windows 7 Update issues when they try to update their

I tried the windows update fix but it did not help my problem - 80072EFE
I think I have done that without any success. Not sure if it is the same fixit link. I have tried so many differenent things. Will try this one. Thanks
I tried the link but it was the same one I had treied a few times. It says it is had fixed certain things but did not remove the problem.

Ok, Try this Method:
1. Go to "Control Panel" and select "All Control Panel Items".
2. Click on "Troubleshooting".
3. On Troubleshooting Screen, Click on "Fix problems with Windows update" which is under the "System and Security" Link.
4. Troubleshoot window will be appear and click on "Advance" link and ensure that "Apply repairs automatically" was checked.
5. Click "Next" button to start finding the problems.
